MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (AP) -- Intuit Inc. on Friday expanded its Mint.com personal finance website from the U.S. into Canada.

The free website, which enables users to link bank and investment accounts and other assets on one page, was purchased by Intuit a year ago.

A free Mint.com mobile application for iPhone and Android mobile phones is available on the iTunes Canada app store and Android Market.

After buying the site, Intuit discontinued its Quicken online service and migrated those users to Mint.com. The site now has 4.5 million users and connects to 16,000 financial institutions in the U.S and Canada.

Plans call for Mint.com to expand to other countries as well.

Separately, Intuit said it recently teamed up with Nokia Corp. to develop a mobile and Web-based marketing service for small businesses around the world. The service, Intuit GoConnect, is designed to help small businesses strengthen relationships with customers and increase repeat traffic to their business. A marketing pilot for GoConnect began this week in New Delhi and Chandigarh, India.
