With a five-inch display, built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth capability and 3G connectivity, the Dell Streak seemingly straddles the divide between smartphones and tablet devices like Apple's iPad. The device can make calls and sports a 5MP camera, a front-facing camera, and 2 GB of internal storage. "Its unique size will help people discover new ways to enjoy the web, connect with friends, and navigate their lives," said Ron Garriques, president of Dell Communication Solutions. The five-inch display is about the smallest size that a user can view a full HTML page, Dell spokesman Matt Parretta said. "We wanted to create an experience in a mobile device that showcases the Web in the way that the publishers intended," he said. At the same time, makers wanted to create a pocket-sized device that could make calls, he said. The Dell Streak is available for $299.99 with new two-year AT&T contract and $549.99 without.
